At a Woodland Hills elementary school - students are taking GOING GREEN to a new level. Recently they installed recycling boxes to get rid of their old ink jet cartridges and cell phones.
Planet GreenThe school even gets money for each and every ink cartridge they recycle. The old cartridges are sent to a Chatsworth company that keeps them from landfills by refilling them and selling them back to consumers at huge discounts. The company has been in the cartridge remanufacturing business now for 8 years and has developed a five-step process to ensure quality before the ink jets are resold at discounts of 30% to 50%. But most important here, is the fact that these young students are learning a valuable lesson on how to save the environment, one cartridge at a time.
