Paul Moyer
Paul Moyer co-anchors the award-winning, weekday editions of the "Channel 4 News" at 5 and 11 p.m. with Colleen Williams. A respected broadcast journalist for more than 30 years, Moyer joined NBC4 for the first time in 1972 and returned to the "Channel 4 News" team in July 1992 after 13 years with KABC.

Prior to his 1992 return to NBC4, Moyer anchored the 5 and 11 p.m. editions of KABC's newscasts and occasionally anchored the network's "ABC World News This Morning."
In 1972, Moyer left his anchor/correspondent position at WCBS-TV in New York to join NBC4 as the weekend anchor. He eventually anchored both the station's 6 and 11PM editions of the "Channel 4 News," and co-hosted the live 90-minute, magazine series "Sunday" with Kelly Lange. He also periodically provided local news cut-ins for the NBC morning news program "Today."Prior to 1971, Moyer was an anchor general assignment reporter for KDKA-TV/Radio in Pittsburgh. He worked in similar capacities at KTVI-TV in St. Louis; WMBD-TV/Radio in Peoria, Illinois; and KTIV in Sioux City, Iowa. His experience also includes radio news broadcasting and production of local documentaries.Moyer is the recipient of numerous awards and honors. He won a 1997 Los Angeles area Emmy Award for his special live report on the Olympic bombing incident in Atlanta's Centennial Park, and three Los Angeles area Emmy Awards in 1995: two for Best Daily Newscast (60 & 30 minutes) and one for his outstanding work on the "O.J. Simpson: The Trial" news series. He previously won two Emmy Awards and two Associated Press Awards for documentaries on drug smuggling and teen pregnancies. Moyer has been awarded four Golden Mike Awards, two for the 5 and 11 p.m. newscasts, one for his coverage of the 1996 Olympic bombing incident in Atlanta, and one for his reporting on the O.J. Simpson trial. In 1997, he was awarded the Golden Heart Award from the American Heart Association for his two-part news series on heart disease. He was also honored with a 1997 Humanitarian Award from the Israeli Cancer Institute. In 1990, Moyer was feted with the Genesis Award and the Paloma Award. In 1981, he received the Valley Press Club Award for Outstanding Broadcasting Achievement.A native of Los Angeles, Moyer attended Torrance High School where he made All-Bay pitcher. He turned down a pro-baseball contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates to pursue an education at the University of Arizona, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.He is married, has four children and is a private pilot with instrument and multi-engine ratings. He also enjoys playing golf in his leisure time.
