CAMARILLO, Calif. -- The crash of a vintage World War II plane at a small Ventura airport has killed the pilot.A P-51 Mustang, the premier single-seat fighter of World War II, crashed Sunday when the pilot was practicing takeoffs and landings, witnesses said.On one takeoff, the plane appeared to lose power, nosed down and flipped over at the south end of Camarillo Airport.
Emergency crews said the pilot died on impact.
