Passenger Killed In Crash At Inglewood Intersection

POSTED: 4:18 pm PDT April 15, 2008

A passenger in a speeding vehicle was killed Tuesday when the vehicle crashed at an Inglewood intersection, authorities said.

Paramedics were sent to Century and Crenshaw boulevards, just after midnight, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the coroner's office.

Assistant Coroner's Chief Ed Winter identified the man as Antoine B. Marshall, 19, of Los Angeles.

According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle was headed west on Century Boulevard "at a high rate of speed" when it crashed at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard, said Inglewood police Lt. Bryan Mylar.

The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
