LOS ANGELES -- A pilot and two English tourists were in good condition Sunday after surviving a helicopter crash in the Santa Monica Mountains, officials said.VideoThe Robinson four-seater came down Old Topanga Canyon and Zuniga road just before 7:15 p.m. Saturday, said Ian Gregor of the FAA.
"The helicopter crashed due to a tail rotor problem," Gregor said. "The helicopter was substantially damaged."The helicopter was operated by Adventure Helicopter Tours, which is based at Whiteman Airport in Pacoima."Thankfully, no one was injured in this crash," he said.
