Police Find Man, Dead Rats, Feces In Buena Park Home

BUENA PARK, Calif. -- Hazmat crews began cleaning up a Buena Park residence Thursday after a welfare check revealed dead rats, feces and rotting food in the home.
Raw Video | Images (Warning: Disturbing Content)Fire officials said that about three weeks ago, a neighbor requested a welfare check at 7956 San Marino Drive.Firefighters said they found Clarence West incapacitated amongst trash, dead animals, animal and human feces, and other assorted debris.
West was taken to Anaheim General Hospital.This week, police responded to a call by neighbors to do another welfare check. The front door was open and the neighbors were concerned.After a brief inspection, the case was forwarded to the city attorney for application of emergency receivership.Police said West has been placed in a long-term care facility.
