CANYON COUNTRY, Calif. -- A Canyon Country woman was clubbed in the head by one of two men -- one was in a law-enforcement-style uniform, and the other wore all black -- who came to her home but took nothing, a lieutenant said Saturday. The crime in a gated community on Vista Point Lane near Sand Canyon Road occurred about 8:30 p.m. Friday, sheriff's Lt. Andrew Rosso of the Santa Clarita station said. The woman apparently let the men inside, he said. One was wearing a tan shirt and green pants, and the other man was wearing a black shirt and black pants, Rosso said. Both are believed to be Latinos in their 30s or 40s.
One of them used a bat or stick to beat the woman in the head, he said. She was taken to a hospital to be examined."Deputies are investigating the motive" for the attack, Rosso said. "She did not indicate that she knew them."Anyone with more information as to the names or whereabouts of the suspects was asked to call deputies at 661-255-1125.
